Toughdog Foam Cell shocks are a large bore shock, (41mm) that are built for Heavy Duty use and for coil sprung vehicles.The use of micro-cellular foam inserts has produced a new breed of shocks, which are more resistant to fade. The foam used in the shocks has tiny closed cells which contain gas bubbles. The oil inside the shock cannot mix with the gas bubbles inside the foam, thus allowing the shock to perform with less fade.

Tough Dog Nitrogen Gas shock absorbers have been designed with control & comfort in mind. These shocks work well to provide you with a balanced, controlled, sway free ride.
 
Although not externally adjustable, Tough Dog Nitrogen Gas charged shocks come equipped with multi stage Velocity Sensitive Valving. What this means, is that Valving depends on many things, e.g. Vehicle speed, weight / load, road conditions etc. The shock will automatically adjust itself to the road conditions to deliver a softer or firmer ride as the road conditions dictate. So when you're around town and you want a softer ride, you've got it! And when you want your vehicle to perform offroad, you also have that! Priced competitively and excellent quality, these shocks are perfect for the light to medium 4wds with leaf springs suspension.

Tough Dog adjustable shocks are built tough for the Aussie outback. With 9 settings available you can dial in the exact ride you need. A black plastic sleeve will protect the double chrome plated 18 mm rod. An internal bump stop will protect the top seal. Additional welds on the studs and eyerings eliminate premature failure. 2 year/40,000km warranty applies.
 
For Rangers and BT50 Mazdas, this product is available for the REAR only.- use non adjustable foam cells on the front.
Suits original height and up to 50mm lifted vehicles.
Fitting with simple hand tools.

Tough Dog 4WD Leaf Springs are designed and made in Australia.
Using quality BHP spring steel ensures a consistently high quality locally produced leaf spring. Tried, tested and proven in the harsh Australian outback, Tough Dog has proven to be very reliable and TOUGH in all conditions.
 
Tough Dog leaf springs are a truly progressive rate leaf spring. Each leaf is set slightly higher than the leaf above so there is contact along the whole length of the leaf. There is "Single Stage" and "Two Stage" springs available for different applications. When a load-carrying capacity is desired then a "Two Stage" spring can be used. This will ensure that the vehicle rides on the first stage when empty, thus ensuring a safer & comfortable ride. And when loaded the 2nd stage will progressively come into place, bumping up the spring rate and maintaining ride height. The 2nd stage section will also ensure that the 1st stage section doesn't become over stressed.
 
Each leaf is formed to a template, is oil quenched, hardened and tempered before being assembled. The spring is then scragged and load tested (turned inside out) to ensure that the spring retains its height. Some spring have Anti-Friction Pads inserted before assembly and graphite coated to protects the spring against corrosion.
